4th WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering 2009

ASIAM co-sponsored the 4th WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, SAR, China between July 26-29, 2009. The congress was hosted by Dr. Arthur Mak, Chairman, Dr. K.M. Chan, Vice-Chairman, Dr. Ming Zhang, Secretary-General, Dr. Ed X. Wu, Scientific Committee Chair, and Dr. Cheng Zhu, Scientific COmmittee Co-CHair, among others.
The congress covered all related areas in bioengineering and special symposia on several hot topics. The 4th WACBE offered a forum for networking of bioengineers as well as to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. There were more than 300 registrants of chich over 50% were students. The meeting had 8 plenary lectures plus 41 keynote lectures.
WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering 2009 was a memorable event and colleagues and freidns from all over the world enjoyed the opportunity to establish friendships, promote academic exchanges adn stimulate the interest of younger biomedical engineers.
